Wood is all around us. Fortunately, I have a number of folks who think of me when they have trees cut down on their properties. Nearly finished with another Taneytown History Museum project. I was asked to make a simple podium for a display … this is the result. I wanted to make something that could be used beyond the current display. It has no finish on it. I’ll finish it tomorrow evening. The wood has some spalting, so it will have beautiful character.
I took the lead in designing and making (and other museum volunteers helped with production too) historic toys for the Taneytown History Museum historic toys display this Spring, 2018.
